Hey there all!

Background story:
Yesterday, myself, Epic Fail and a few others were playing on a mostly empty server 1. In an attempt to alleviate boredom, we came upon the idea of seeing how high a demoman could jump off of 16 crit-stickies. We then decided to film it, and this led to many more ideas of hilarious things we could do and film in tf2.

The Point?
The GFL should make a series of original and parody sketches for a machinima, in the vein of videos such as the idiots of Garry's mod series. We have already filmed a couple of preliminary ideas, one of a medibeam tripwire-laser and another of a stray huntsman arrow that travels across all of tf2 (the start at least).
From just a few hours of play we conceived many good ideas:
'Tron' parody with Bonk scouts
Thriller dance video
Taunt chains / Demo duels

and many others that i'm sure Epic remembers

The request:
What do people think of a GFL comedy shenanigans sketch-machinima?
Would people want to help as actors, editors and cameramen(/women)?
Also, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

When thinking of ideas think of different sports, films, other games and some random thing that happens in real life which is funny...

there is no need for a gfl tag to join as long as you listen to the people in charge. also we should organise a few dates to use in advanced so we can password the server and get an admin in to allow things like noclip (cirtianly for the godzilla style sketch)

An intro with some flying ducks (any bird actually) and the heavy flying behind them, crashing into a huge sandvish
No idea how we can do this but it would be funny IMO

well if you need some green screen or effects etc give me a shout but don't expect miricles (or me to be in a good mood x3 )

one note to make is that plymmy did'nt want to use gmod i don't know if this still stands or not

A heavy is a ghost, medic's heal control the ghost with healing proton beams, (heavy is noclip) and medics make fun of him and bash him on the walls, off the cliff etc...
Ghosts can't fly in this sketsh, wutevah the word is typed. =P

I found this handy thread for the recording-stuff on the TF2 forums:
How to create TF2 videos without using FRAPS or other external recording
Which basically tells you how you can make a solid 30 fps avi-video from a demo-file using just the TF2 itself. This in turn would need more editing of course. This would also mean that only thing that the cameramen need is to have enough room on their hardrive and put "record X" in the console, then send the resulting dem-file to the guy who is doing the editing, in theory at least, if I read the thread correctly...

Just an idea in case someone didn't know or was interested...

P.S. How about setting up a "Video-crew meetup" date/time? Try some easy sketches etc, for testing purposes? Tony has already given an ok to use one of the servers (with passwords and everything), which I can start/stop and admin as needed...

i know but every time i try i get a failed vid alhtough with a bit of tweeking on compression i am farly confedent i can use the source recorder
